K. Aubrey Moore

Untitled, K. Aubrey Moore, watercolor on paper, dated 1932

K. Aubrey Moore appears to have been a British artist active in the early 20th century. The Oxford Magazine (vol. 24) includes a review of an exhibition held by the Oxford Art Society in 1905, with a mention of Moore: "Of the less-known artists we liked best the work of K. Aubrey Moore, who sends a good study of Magdalen College Cloisters and some very decorative sketches in black and white" (72).

Mallams, a prestigious auction house in Oxford, sold a watercolor by Moore, "St. Ives", in 2012, as well as another watercolor, "A Harbour View", in 2013. It is unclear when or if Moore ever lived in Paris or how one of her watercolors ended up at Reid Hall. One K. Aubrey Moore is listed in the 1934 Proceedings of the International Ornithological Congress, a conference held at Oxford.
