Malcolm Fraser, originally from Canada, moved to Paris in 1888 to study at the Sorbonne and at Académie Julian under Benjamin Constant and other atelier masters. Fraser moved to New York in 1897 and embarked on a successful career as a portraitist and illustrator. A large collection of his works can be found at the Ormond Art Museum in Ormond Beach, Florida.
