In 1939, she showed several works at Salon des Tuileries: 819, Prieres pour les morts; 820, Villages arabes (Palestine); 821, Discussion (Jerusalem); 822, Nature morte.

  • Parsons, Mary P.: Parsons was Winchell's contact and fellow resident at the Club, already working at the American Library in Paris. She is best known for having founded the Paris Library School, an opportunity for cross-cultural exchange between French and American librarians that was financed and supported by the American Library Association. It was a particularly wonderful program for women, who were increasingly joining the workforce in the aftermath of WWI.

  • Rolf, Ida Pauline: May 19, 1896 – March 19, 1979. BA in Chemistry at Barnard College, 1916; PhD in biochemistry, Columbia University, 1920. Associate member of the Board of Scientific Directors, Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, 1922. She was definitely a resident in 1926 when she was at the Institut Pasteur. Best known for her massage method, commonly known as "rolfing."
  • Sanderson, Miss: American. Resident in 1925.
  • Schupbach, Marly: 1912-1978, Swiss (born in Kirschberg). Resident in 1938; she exhibited a painting entitled  "Nu" at the 1938 Salon d'Automne.
  • Shaw, Margaret: British. Resident in 1925. Preparing a doctorate at the Sorbonne.
  • Miss Elsa Sittell: Resident for the month of November in 1934 working in the law offices of the Compte René de Chambrun. Originally from the Lorraine region in France, she had selected French nationality then US nationality while her parents opted for German nationality. She left the Club on December 23 to visit her family whom she hadn't seen in 10 years and was arrested by German officials for having insulted Hitler. She had been sent to the Waldmohr concentration camp from which she was released after 10 days imprisonment.
