In 2010, Columbia University inaugurated its second Global Center at Reid Hall: Columbia Global Centers l Paris. The Global Centers network has grown to nine such centers located in Amman (2009), Beijing (2009), Istanbul (2011), Mumbai (2010), Nairobi (2011), Paris (2010), Rio (2013), Santiago (2012), Tunis (2018). Safwan Masri, Executive Vice-President of the Global Centers network since 2010, has greatly contributed to its success by supporting faculty engagement at each center, encouraging cross-network collaborations, and ensuring the sustainability of network activities. Together with Paul LeClerc, Director of the Paris center, he has been a staunch supporter of Reid Hall as Columbia University's European flagship.

The signature program at the time of the Paris Center's launch was a Masters in Public Health organized jointly between the Mailman School of Public Health and the Ecole des hautes études en santé publique, headquartered in Rennes. The program pursued its activities at Reid Hall between Fall 2010 and Spring 2016.

From 2013-2017, the Center also hosted the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

In 2013, 2014, 2015, the Center hosted a World Writers' festival in partnership with the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BNF), and in 2017, the Writers' Weekend.

From 2014 on, the center welcomes the residencies of the Masters in Technology Management.

In 2015, the Paris Center launched a series of public programs in the humanities, social sciences, and medical sciences.

In 2016, the Columbia Sounds series is officially launched.
