CAA

The Columbia University Alumni Club of France became a member of Reid Hall in Fall 2016, benefitting from a small office and the use of conference rooms and other spaces for the events they organize.

The mission of the Alumni association is to promote the interests in France of Columbia University and all its schools; to organize academic and intellectual activities for the the alumni of Columbia University in France; to organize social and amicable activities in order to encourage interaction between members; to support the activities and influence of Reid Hall, Columbia University’s academic body (instance académique) in France; and more generally to maintain and reinforce the ties between Columbia University and its alumni residing in France.

Headed by Jean-Pierre Reichenbach, President, it participates actively in the activities and cultural leadership of the Paris Center, and promotes the interests of Columbia University and all of its schools. The Club also offers very diverse networking, cultural and recreational activities, alone or in close cooperation with the Columbia Undergraduate Programs in Paris  (CUP) and Columbia Global Centers l Paris.

The CAA-F has developed a strong and unified Columbia community in France, crosscutting backgrounds and generations, bringing Alumni into close contact with students, faculty, and staff present at the Center. It is uniquely positioned to provide opportunities in networking and the exchange of ideas across Schools and generations in societal, cultural, business matters, and other topics.

For this community-building effort, the Club received the CAA Regional Club Award of Excellence in 2016. In 2019, CAA-F included circa 1800 members from fifteen Schools (BUS, SEAS, GSAS, LAW and SIPA representing 80% of the total).
